Questions, answered
Where is my data stored?
Account and shop details are stored in our cloud-based infrastructure. However your products, sales, and customers data are stored on your device unless you enable sync. Deleting the app deletes the data — so export a CSV backup first if you want one.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Stock Managed is local-first, so adding products, scanning barcodes, recording sales, and viewing reports all work with no connection at all.
Can I bring in my existing product list?
Yes. Import your catalogue from a CSV file with columns for name, brand, SKU, barcode, price, cost, quantity, low-stock threshold, category, and tax rate. You can export both products and sales back to CSV at any time.
Does it handle tax and discounts?
Per-product tax rates and per-sale discounts are built in. The P&L summary keeps tax collected separate from revenue — it's shown as a pass-through liability owed to the tax authority, so your profit numbers stay honest.
What devices does it run on?
Stock Managed is designed for iPhone and iPad with full light and dark mode support, and is also available on Android. The iPad layout makes a great counter-top point of sale.
